There is another significant difference between Asian girls in the U.S. and in countries like China, Thailand, and the Philippines. If you are 40 plus you will find few U.S. based Asian girls who respond to older men. They are more likely to set a maximum age gap of 10 years. It is totally different in China, Thailand and the Philippines. Here it is common for young girls of 22 to 25 there to date and marry men in their 50s, 60s, and 70s. This writer has an American friend of 71 in Cebu who has been married for 5 years to a filipina of 26. He, for one, would never think of returning to the States.

Overseas Asian Dating Scams to Avoid

Many western men find themselves the victims of fraud and scams from Asian women abroad. Here are some…

Misrepresentation can start with pictures. You may start your search for an Asian woman by enrolling in one of the numerous dating sites. Once you have established a contact, you will then commonly switch your communication to chatting on Yahoo Messenger. Here is where your Asian girl will send you pictures via file transfer. Be prepared to see many beautiful photos that will excite you. But…the chances are, they will not be pictures of the real girl. 75% to 80% of Asian girls you chat with on Yahoo Messenger will send you fake pictures of pretty models. It can be humorous when two or more girls send you the same pictures.

Some girls are even more daring. They may actually claim to be a well-known model or actress, sending you “candid” pictures which they have found on the web. They don’t seem to care about lawsuits for misrepresentation. They do it anyway.

To determine what your foreign Asian girl really looks like, you will want and need to see her on webcam. Her scam will be to tell you she is stuck in transit in Hong Kong or Tokyo or in Los Angeles and desperately needs money for unexpected airport terminal fees or for overnight hotel stay. She will send you a detailed itinerary showing the airlines and times – all of which she has simply lifted from the airline’s website. It’s all BS and is easily discovered by asking tricky questions about the airport or hotel where she is. She will always make at least one stupid mistake.

It is easy to be tempted by seeming heartfelt love messages and beautiful photos.

Just let caution and skepticism be your guide.

Growing numbers of western men – particularly Americans – are moving to Asian countries. There are four main reasons: Lower cost, better lifestyle, escape, and women. The countries most often chosen are Thailand, China, and the Philippines. In some Asian locales it is possible to “live like a king” on $1000 US a month. This is especially true in Thailand and the Philippines. Here you can rent a 4-bedroom house for under $500 US a month, hire a maid and cook for about $45 – $50 US each a month, plus a chauffeur, if you choose, for just a bit more. Full restaurant meals can be enjoyed for $8 to $12 US. Taxis in these two countries rarely cost more than $2 US for trips around town. And meanwhile, you have access to all modern communications including phone, fax, cable TV and Internet hook-up.

China is more costly. But some western men choose Shanghai or Beijing for what they perceive to be business opportunities in the growing Chinese economy. However, many western businessmen are finding it difficult if not impossible to make money in China. Moreover, English is not that commonly spoken. On balance, both Thailand and the Philippines offer a more congenial and more affordable lifestyle. The disadvantage of Thailand is the scarcity of Thais who speak English outside Bangkok. And Bangkok itself is far more expensive than life in the provinces. The Philippines offers the convenience of commonly spoken English. For lower cost of living, better lifestyle including all the servants you desire, and English communications, it is hard to beat the Philippines.

Some American men move to Asian countries to escape problems in the U.S. Such problems may be legal or credit-related. It can be hard for creditors and attorneys to even find, let alone file suit against, western men living, for instance, in the Philippines – especially given that there are over 7000 islands in the Philippines to search in. Some Americans move to Asia to escape the encroaching invasion of privacy in the U.S. as well as the uncertainties of the volatile U.S. economy.

Finally, many western men settle in Asian countries for the women. Asian women are among the most beautiful in the world, they are loving and easy to be with, they often care not at all about the age of their western boyfriend, and the cost of maintaining Asian women is but a fraction of the cost of western wives and girlfriends. Many western men who have moved to Asia and found their younger dream Asian beauty would never consider returning to their original homeland.

So you write what you believe to be a riveting, irresistible profile, attach your most handsome photo, and click the SEND button…then wait anxiously for what you assume will be a quick response. Hah!
